Christine V. Edmond

Christine is passionate about people. She is an eccentric professional with skills in traditional, content and digital marketing, community engagement, multimedia production (audio, video, and HTML), client relations, outreach, and communications—including writing and public speaking. In 2016, she began Shine Brite Consulting, LLC to advise organizations on transforming and refreshing their marketing strategy. She enjoys exercising her creative, communicative, strategic, and organizational skills to positively influence individual growth and productivity in the workplace.

Christine previously managed  the content, strategy and engagement experience for members of the Human Capital Community of Practice at the Association for Talent Development (ATD, formerly ASTD) as a community specialist. She also served on the board of the Alliance for Women in Media – National Capital Area Chapter (AWM-NCAC) as the director of communications from 2014-2016. She led multiple initiatives and campaigns as a junior marketing manager and as the coordinator for ATD’s Government Community of Practice.

Christine worked with the Promotions and Creative Services team in 2009 at WDCW-TV 50: The CW in fall 2009. She expanded on her professional media experience and worked in the newsroom at NPR-affiliate, WAMU 88.5FM, while simultaneously working for the Outreach and Marketing Department of the American University Career Center. She continues her service and involvement with media as a volunteer for the past 3 years with the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ) and as a past board member of AWM-NCAC.

Christine graduated from the American University in Washington, D.C. with a B.A. in [Broadcast] Journalism. She also minored in Psychology and Justice to build on her strong interest in human behavior and societal influences on behavior.
